Hair loss and gallbladder removal

My hair is coming out in clumps. It's getting worse and worse and this morning was ridiculous.

I've had a few changes over the last few months. I had surgery to have my gall bladder out and that was on May 1st. On the whole, I haven't had much in the way of problems for that, certainly not diarrhoea or cramping.

But also, because of the pain caused the gallstones - I cut out meat and dairy to avoid pain. This caused a lot of weight loss. I have lost 2.5 stone since February. Because I was happy with the weight loss I continued with what was essentially a vegan diet.

So, this hair loss....what am I looking at here, which bit do you think caused what? Did anyone have anything similar following gallbladder surgery? Did the hair loss stop? Or did you have this following weight loss, presumably, if so, it stopped falling out eventually, right?
Sorry, these many questions makes me look like a researcher, you can my check posting history if you like.

I suppose I should go the drs with this rate of hairloss, which is easier said than done give the bloody practice I go to.
