Lumie clocks- worth it?

I struggle to get up in the morning and as I am starting work again I need to find an effective way of getting up , without poring over my phone for hours on end.
Which one is best and are they worth the hype?

I can't remember which model I've got, but it's one of the more basic ones and I've found it brilliant. I've had it a good seven or eight years and I find it makes getting up in the winter so much easier. It was definitely worth the money for me.

Bought mine 13 yrs ago (not sure if they make the same one still) & love it.

We've had a Lumie Glow before and currently have a Philips version. They are brilliant! You wake up slowly without that sudden jerk you get with just an audio alarm. We used to use it to slowly fade the light to go to sleep too before we had kids. Yes they are expensive but worth every penny IMHO.

DS is a student and swears by his in winter. Not so much now when it's daylight in the middle of the night unless you have really good blackout blinds.

Yes - I much prefer waking with the sun and use it all winter - I think I've had mine nearly 20 years!

I've tried those gentle waking watch/phone apps, and I still find waking to the slowly increasing light much more pleasant

Yes! When I had to get up really early in the morning for a long commute, my lumie clock and teasmade really, really transformed the winter mornings into something bearable.

Had mine for about 8 years. Its a philips. It definitely helps. It also has a sunset function which helps me wind down at the end of the day.

Yes, made a big difference. I've got a middle of the range version and can have the gradual light and then a sound which I like as a back up (would worry about not waking otherwise). It also has a sound (I have waves) and a gradually dimming light to go to sleep with.

Had it a year, wish I had got one sooner!
