Bit headachy and low energy

Is there a weird virus going around? Been feeling off for a week now, bit hungover Tuesday morning and not right since.

Am hydrated, ok sleep, ok diet, not pregnant.

On and off mild headache with the odd sharp but brief pain in my head. Not much oomph to me. Keep feeling like I'm going to develop a cold yet nothing comes.

Anyone else?

It's the weather I feel so drained, no energy

avuncularis · 16/07/2018 13:51

I've got this. In fact I only came on here just now to see if there were any posts about it! Sorry to hear you're suffering, @PamsterWheel. Mine started well over a week ago with headaches on the left side of my head, every day, and now mostly on the right side, including teeth and sinuses on some days. Paracetamol doesn't really help. I feel dizzy at times and my energy levels are low. By mid morning I'm ready to sleep and the naps I take are heavy. I've felt a bit nauseous a few times and today I've got a dodgy tummy and the headache is a bit more severe, only it comes and goes. Appetite has been ok but I haven't been eating much after lunchtimes, just light dinners and hardly snacking. I think it's viral. Bit depressing some days too.

Be interesting to hear from others who might have been going through something similar. Hope you feel better soon Flowers

I felt like this too! I assumed it was a sinus infection but I haven't done anything about it.

tinkerbellone · 16/07/2018 15:06

I’ve got this too. Headache. Upset tummy. Exhausted. Feeling thick headed too. I don’t get headaches ever, so unusual for me

JustDanceAddict · 16/07/2018 17:49

Sounds like what I’ve got and I came in here to see if anyone else had it - not headaches but have had some head twinges - more sore throat, teeth achy, feel off colour/low energy but nothing to tie it down to a specific virus. I felt worse yesterday and did work today although I dosed up on ibuprofen this morning. Thought it could be sinuses too. No upset tummy yet! Was thinking about GP as we go on hols soon but if viral there’s no point.

I've been feeling like this too. Had loads of headaches, feel very tired and a bit dizzy at times. Have presumed it's the weather.

PamsterWheel · 16/07/2018 23:14

Aha! Sorry to hear that you are all feeling similar but also 'relieved' that it's something doing the rounds and not me going off my rocker.

The only thing I don't have is stomach ache though I have had a couple of very loose poos this evening.

So odd compared to a run of the mill cold, flu even.

The heat doesn't help!

If anyone does go to the Dr can.you report back?

Get well soon everyone

Just spoke to my mum. She has had this but is over it since the weekend, and her symptoms were headaches and muzziness, nausea, dizziness and extreme tiredness for a couple of weeks before the stomach trouble kicked in and lasted 72 hours. She said she had very loose BMs for a day or two, horrid wind, and general queasiness and yukness. But after those 72 tummy hours the whole thing was over and she feels fine now. She also said the headaches stopped when the stomach phase kicked in, which is what has happened to me since yesterday. My stomach was bad yesterday but has been grim today, and I've been dead on my feet and feeling anaemic with it. Everything crossed it has gone by Thursday, but will update you then. Mum said it's raging where she is (Merseyside) and she knows other people who've had it/got it. I'm in London and haven't heard of anyone else having it, but I'm quite a hermit so that's nothing new lol.

Hope this helps rather than scares everyone! Flowers

I'm in London. I know if one person who had a cold last week but nothing like this.

No problems with stomach but still this stupid head thing. Appetite much much less though which isn't a problem as I could do with eating a few less pies.
