Lymph node or fatty lump?

A close family member of mine had a lump in their bicep for about half year. Saw one doctor (half year ago) he had a good feel and he said just fatty fluid! Saw another doctor recently and he said may be a lymph node and now they are being sent for all these tests for cancer. I am abosolutley terrified, have all worse scianrios in my head and am trying to be strong for my family member. Any advice? Is this normal proceduer for a lump?

I am probably over reacting but please any advice whilst we are waiting???

Hi, sorry OP, that sounds worrying for you. The 2nd doctor may just being extra cautious.
I also have a fatty lump in my bicep.. had it about 7 years now..can feel it still there now, the doctor didn't do tests as seemed sure just 'gristle' ...I was quite frightened at the time, it is about 5 cm above my elbow.

Is your family member's near their armpit?...Not medically trained, but i think there are lymph nodes there.
When are they having tests? Do they have any other symptoms like weight loss?

Hi thanks for replying i appriciate it. Its on the inside of the arm ny the elbow if that makes sense? Other than that genral health is fine so hopefully its just a check.

Help anyone im really scared! How do i calm down? Im sure everything will be fine ='(
