Anyone else want to share experiences.

I've know I had this condition for about 15 years now, i have pretty much ignored it as much as I can. Hearing aids often make things worse. I haven't been to audiology for 3 or more years but wet yesterday and she was very pessimistic about how useless hearing aids would be for my condition. She said my last test was 4 years ago and I had 60% loss then and I said it's gotten a lot worse since then.

I think surgery is my only option really now. Anyone share any experiences? Do I have to push for the surgery? Will they even consider it in today NHS economy?
