I had bleeding for approx 5 weeks, phoned NHS and they said to have an ultrasound, then it stopped for a few days but then I haemorrhaged really badly and was hospitalised.

I have a hospital appointment later this week but was dismayed to start bleeding again today and I only have a few pills left :(

Just go with it, right? There can't be much more to come out so I don't think it will be like last time, it's just really frustrating and tiring and ruins my clothes. Hospital appointment is soon, anyway, so I won't bother contacting NHS

Hi @languidLobster did you ever find out what was causing the 5 week long bleed ? , on the 30th of December I started a period that went on for 6weeks ( heavy clotting ho ) I was put on norethisterone and after a week it seems to have stopped the bleeding , I’ve had a scan and they have found thickening of the lining of my womb , now waiting a hospital appointment to investigate , I’m 42 with 3 kids and am pertefied as to what it is 😬 ,
