Husband got given a 2 week urgent referral to see a urologist on Monday still hasn't heard anything...is it too soon to chase is up? Also does anyone know how the referrals work do they contact you via post or call you up?

When I had a breast referral fast tracked I was phoned and offered a date and then had confirmation letter in post.

He’ll hear from them within two weeks, there is not much point in chasing after one week. Although I understand the worry.

Referral under the two week rule means you should be seen within 2 weeks, not be sent a future appointment before time's up.

Yes, follow up. Ring to ask when/how the 2 week rule appointment will be made and notified to you. The other reason for doing this is that occasionally things get lost, or the 2week priority is overlooked, and this gives them a chance to put it straight and still be on time.
