poor ds4!

I don't think you can give much to such a small baby - maybe calpol if he's uncomfortable

I would keep an eye on his rattling chest - even though it is a virus, it might affect his chest worse than the others.

sometimes warm, moist air can help (esp if it turns sort of croupy - so go in the bathroom and turn the shower on warm to create some steam) but it's really hard to tell without hearing him because some children respond well to it and some don't.

thats what I thought foxy, poor little thing sounds like he's been out on a heavy night smoking 50 havana cigars!!

Agree with foxinsocks about the warm moist air.

Some cough medicines might be ok for a 4 month old - if you can get to the nearest one, ask a pharmacist.

And tell him to lay off the cigars.

if he's really blocked up too and that's bothering him, I think baby medised works from 3 months+ (for night times). Follow your instincts though.
