Last year a few weeks after my daughter was born I started to get pain in my mouth. Saw the doctor and they thought it was a blocked salivary gland. Took the antibiotics that they gave me. It seemed to go away but was back again a few weeks later.

I was referred to hospital have had ultra sounds on my throat and neck with no issues found. Saw the ENT specialist who also said the same but at that point in time I had no pain.

Went to the dentist and they thought it could be root canal so they've done that and I thought it was okay again. Until yesterday when it's starting to hurt.

It's right at the back on the right hand side of my tongue. I cannot see any spots or anything, it's just sore. It's also causing pain in my ear.

First of all I thought it could be hormonal due to baby but now I'm at my wits end.

Just wondering if any chance any one else has experienced this and might know what it is?

I used to get a toothache when I was ovulating. Sounds really weird but true. Does yours seem linked to your periods - does it go and then come back or is there for weeks on end?

No it comes and goes. I did notice I got toothache around the time of my period previously but now I'm on the mini pill I don't get any at all.
Perhaps I need to monitor how often it comes.
