Broken finger base?

I fell yesterday, put my hand out and managed to put my whole on my little finger as it was bent at a right angle to my hand.
Just wondering if I should go anywhere? It's very painful, tender to touch the base of, and there's a 'popping' you can feel

It sounds more likely that you've pulled a tendon maybe. Take regular anti inflammatories, and see your GP if it's no better in a week. (I could be wrong though!).

If your finger was truly at a right angle to your hand then it must have been broken or dislocated. I would visit your local Minor Injuries Unit or A&E tomorrow as some hand injuries will be much harder to treat a week down the line. DOI: A&E doctor.
