Should I phone 111?

My friends have suggested I phone 111. I don't think that's necessary but I am a bit confused/concerned about my symptoms.

This only started today but I feel generally really weak and dizzy despite eating just fine. I've had diarrhoea and have felt nauseous but haven't vomited. I don't have a stomach ache as such but I have a sharp pain in my stomach, it seems to be right where my c section scar is (c section was 4 years ago so I don't think it's actually the scar causing pain). I also have a very intense pressure in my bum which I can only liken to when I was approaching labour.

I'm not pregnant now and I recently had the IUD fitted (4 weeks ago). Are these symptoms likely to be connected to that? I'm not due my period and don't have any period related cramps.

Any advice or ideas?

Ring 111 OP. It sounds like you might have a dose of gastroenteritis but sharp tummy pain shouldn't be ignored.

The pain is much worse when I'm standing and I don't feel dizzy unless I'm standing either. I've just noticed a little bit of spotting when I went to the bathroom but I know that's usual after having the coil fitted so I don't think it's related.

How are you this morning OP? I hope you are feeling better but if not are you sure that there is absolutely no possibility that you are pregnant? The pain, diarrhoea, pressure in bum and fainting are all symptoms I had with a ruptured ectopic.

Hi QueenCity, I went to get checked out at a walk in clinic yesterday as the pain wouldn't go off and I was feeling really nauseous. They did a pregnancy test and it was negative. The doctor didn't think it was the appendix as the pain wasn't localised enough and no sign of infection. So I don't really know the cause and was just told to go back if anything changes. The pain has subsided a bit today and I don't feel nauseous. I have been especially stressed lately so I'm wondering if it's just caused by that. I also haven't been eating very well and yesterday I ate a bit better so I don't know if that confused my stomach or something? I'm not sure really, but I am feeling a bit better. I can still feel the strings of the IUD so I know that's still in place which was my other concern.

Glad you got checked out and are feeling a little better. Hope life becomes less stressful for you.
