Does this look like shingles?

I have an itchy rash on my back, been there a few day. I’ve not had any other symptoms, so no cold or flu like symptoms so I’m sure it’s just a bite or heat rash but I’m pregnant so don’t want to take any chances.

I've had shingles twice and that looks nothing like mine, but if you're worried get it checked.

I would think a cluster is more likely to be a reaction, have you had a fastening there for example, than Shingles.

I was googling shingles symptoms and you’re probably right. I had it as a teen and was quite poorly with it. It wouldn’t have even been on my radar if I wasn’t pregnant.
Not sure what it is though.

I hesitate to say this because so many people are so negative about it, but I get herpes outbreaks on my lower back. They look very similar to that. I have never had them on my genitals and I don't get cold sores. I have never felt unwell with them or had the obvious initial outbreak that is supposed to happen.

Definitely get it checked because you are pregnant.

Bloody hell I’m going to have to get an appointment tomorrow aren’t I? Could do with not missing work really.

Sorry Eminybob. I debated whether to just keep schtum, but if it is, then better to know for sure. I am sure there are lots of other differentials though.
