Hayfever or virus? Help!

I usually suffer hay fever but never this bad - I currently have itchy eyes and what I call a rabbity, twitchy nose, but I also have such a blocked up/sniffly nose that I have really bad painful sinus pressure and have developed a bit of a congested cough.
The cough comes and goes, and does seem to worse while I'm outside and after I've been outside then settles a bit.
I assumed at first it was hay fever as I know the pollen count is high but am now wondering if there's something else going around as I feel godawful.
Anyone else experiencing the same?

Hi sounds just like me, always suffered with hay fever but never this bad, apparently the pollen count is higher than Its been for fifteen years! I’ve been feeling really headachey and fluey and was wondering if it was a virus. I spoke to the pharmacist a couple of days ago and she said they’ve been inundated with people with similar symptoms. She recommended a new nasal spray called benacort which I’ve been using for a couple of days and it’s made a massive difference. Hope you get some relief soon.
