Not 'been' for over a week!

I do have problems with constipation sometimes but not for this long! I had Laxido mid week and my usual prune juice, which usually works a treat, but nothing.

Would the doc do anything?

Get to a chemist and ask for glycerin suppositories. They work very quickly and are usually the next step if laxido hasn't worked.
Fixed my daughter after a week of agony and an xray that showed impacted faeces.

Also psyllium husk or something like Chia or flaxseed often helps. But the glycerin will be more dramatic/rapidly effective.

I would go with Gammeldragz plan. You don’t want to fire hose your back ‘log’.

Laxido should be taken daily until it is resolved though, doesn't really work as a one off. Also if you use the glycerin suppositories, carry on with laxido/lactulose for a week.

(Student nurse, lots of experience with poo! But see GP if you are in a lot of pain, of course.)

OK, thank you everyone.

I thought one Laxido would do it! I'm not used to it getting this bad. It seems like since I cut out lots of fresh cookies at the weekend it's stopped me from pooing so much! The more I eat, the more I poo!

I have a good balanced diet day to day but suffer with bowel problems alongside other conditions that I have. I think they're connected.
