RESTLESS LEGS

Arrrrghhhhhh!!!!!! have been plagued with restless legs for the past 3 months out on nowhere. Usually it only happens when I wake up but tonight it is horrendous and I just know I won't be able to sleep. I feel like there are insects crawling along my bones and biting me occasionally.

Does anyone have any remedies for this nightmare?!?!?!?!

The only thing that's ever worked for my dh is cbd

My friend swears by ropinirole

MooChops89 · 16/06/2018 22:35

I had it while pregnant, drove me insane. I read somewhere that tonic water was good for restless legs - something to do with it containing Quinine. Anyway I had about half a cup a day for the last couple of weeks before DD arrived and it definitely helped.

Macareaux · 16/06/2018 22:39

Another recommendation for quinine.

DeepestBlues · 16/06/2018 22:39

Might be worth trying a magnesium supplement.

SmellMyBeads · 16/06/2018 22:41

Bar of soap down at your feet in bed. Sounds mad, but it works.

Mybabystolemysanity · 16/06/2018 22:43

I've had it this pregnancy. Improved dramatically once I was given a beta blocker for high blood pressure and iron supplements because I was anaemic. Time for a check up, OP!

Seconding suggestions of CBD oil and magnesium supplements - you could also use magnesium lotion or spray. All have made a difference for me, the CBD oil especially.

I get bouts of the evil bastard thing and find a cold as I can bear it shallow bath just before I go to sleep does the trick. If you aren’t on any medication that could trigger it look at magnesium/potassium/vit D boosts to your diet for the longer term.

I second the soap in the bed. I do it and it really works.

Cheeseislife · 16/06/2018 22:58

Milk of magnesium, iron supplements, tonic water may help

blondeemily · 16/06/2018 23:04

All good suggestions. There are also stretches which you can do to help alleviate restless legs. Google it Smile I found they helped me.

pourmeanotherglass · 16/06/2018 23:04

Iron supplements fixed it for me when I was pregnant.

Thanks all, I sat in a cold bath for a bit which seems to have helped!!! Will be going out to buy a bar of soap tomorrow, never heard of that remedy before!!!
