My daughter was sent home on Tuesday after falling in the playground with an injured arm. No one come to tell me that she may of seriously damaged the arm or no accident report form was given to me. I took her home after school and looked at the arm it was definitely something not right with her arm it had a swelling just above the wrist and she was clearly in some pain. When my husband come home he took her to the hospital and this is where we found out she has a broken arm. I am quite annoyed with the school because she had been in her class for 2 hours with probably a lot of pain in her arm and no one has taken any notice of her. But the week before they sent her home because she looked grey and sick and they didn't have enough Calpol for her and then when I pick her up they say she's been to the worry wall more than 5 times! I'm all for children's mental health and listening to them but this seems to be taking over the basics in the school that she is in. The school has admitted that they were in the wrong but I feel something has to change as this is wrong.

Kids might not show how serious injury is straight away.

What is the protocol.for giving Calpol? Most schools wontt give out Calpol unless prescribed by gp. They shouldn't have communal.calpol....? What do you mean by they had none left?

Write your concerns and ask.to.see teacher.

When they was going to give her calpol the week before they said that they was running out so was unable to give my little girl any with my permission over the phone, I'm gathering that they have a communal bottle.
