Completely lost taste and smell

For 3 days now... had a cold since Sunday which is now nearly gone.
But I’m still not able to smell or taste anything at all, not a hint! Never had it quite so bad before and for it to last past the worst part of the cold ... is it normal?

I am 3 weeks into this and am miserable. I also can't hear in one ear. I had a really heavy headcold on half term week and am still suffering. I have had a blocked nose all this time and finally caved and went to the drs yesterday - I have sinusitis and a bucket load of antibiotics- am hoping to have some relief soon. Hope you feel better
