Ripped off nail

Had an accident and ripped off my whole pinkie finger nail down to the nail bed 🤢 this was about 2 weeks ago and the nail has started to grow back, but I'm worried the damage to the nail bed was to severe. The red bit on the nail is old polish I don't dare to remove. has anyone else had this experience and did your nail grow back like normal?

I've done similar by ripping off most of my nail which was damaged from wearing glue on fake nails. When I took the false nail off most of my finger nail came off too.

I also treated a Fungal big toe nail with some cream that destroyed the infected part of the nail. I was left with just the bottom third of my toe nail once the infected part had been taken away.

In both cases they've grown back over the course of a few months and are now fine. Once it's not as sore you could use some regular strengthening treatment on the nail as it grows maybe?

Hope that helps.

Mine was also from acrylic nails! Lucky I didn't get any sort of infection it looks pretty healthy I was just worried it wouldn't grow back!
