I had 3 important appointments booked this week.
2 follow ups
1 new referral made by my GP in February. 1 of the follow ups has been cancelled on the day.
The new referral has been cancelled for the second time. Cancelled in May the first time.
No idea when I will be offered another one. No doctors.
The follow up appointment I attended today should have been cancelled but the admin staff forgot to do it so everyone turned up and the consultant had to cancel something else and see everyone. It was just as well because my last appointment for this clinic was cancelled so waited an extra 6 months. I need urgent tests, new meds and in patient treatment in a specialist hospital. So I am happy I actually got seen today.
But I am worried about the other cancellations.
It is only going to get worse isn't it.
I am wondering whether to try to go private but I can only afford one consultation.
