Has anyone tried SAM-e for arthritis?

I have osteo-arthritis. I’m keen to do anything I can to keep mobile for as long as I can.
I’ve been reading the Arthritis Research UK website and looking at their reviews of complementary and alternative therapies.

They rate things out of 5, with 5 being the most effective. The only thing they give s 5 to is capsaicin for pain relief. I use this already and it does work. I get a cream on prescription from my gp.

SAM-e has a 4 rating and suggestions that it can stimulate the production of cartilage and act as a painkiller. I need all the cartilage I can get so I’m considering trying it out.

I’m just wondering if anyone else has ever used it?

Glucosamine gets a 1 so I’m giving up on that!
