It took DS about 1 week to recover from pneumonia with the help of antibiotics.

He was admitted on sat and has been on iv abs until about four this afternoon and will be on oral abs for another 10 days plus all his usual inhalors So hopefully by sunday he may be slightly brighter.

I'm sure the Dr told me I would see an improvement with DS within 48 hours of starting medication.

He is soooo much better than saturday. I was just worried he might not be up to such a long day but it sounds like he should be just fine

Ds2 was markedly better 24 hours after IV antibiotics but I was told to keep him in for a week. He was feeling fine during that week at home with a mild temperature on and off. The cough developed over that week and settled down over the following week.
