Hi everyone,
I’ve recently got sepsis from mastitis and am now thankfully on the mend... so today I had my catheter removed (hurrah!) but now I’m peeing lava, it’s so painful! Is there anything I can ask for or do to make this less painful?? It’s absolutely horrific! Sad I darent pee anymore

You could pour water on your bits when you pee? It shouldn't be this sore though.....I'd get a dr appt tomo x

I’m still in hospital, they said it can be normal Sad I’ll ask somebody else when I see them. I’m genuinely quite terrified of going to the toilet right now

Pee in the bath. I know it's gross but rinse after with the shower. Hinestly it really does help.

Are you on any kind of fluid restriction? If not then drinking lots of fluids should help dilute your urine and make it less stingy.

Echo what's already been said.

I was sore like this for about 48 hours post removal. It will clear up.

Thank you so much for the advice! The hospital toilets also have bidets so they are currently an absolute life saver. I’m being kept on regular ibuprofen/paracetamol so it should help too. I’m guzzling water like my life depends on it to water it down. I’m hoping it goes very very soon
