Ok so i am 34yrs old and never used a tampon just pads, not really sure why! I have an implant in and have had no periods for a while but today have started to bleed slightly, problem is we are going in a family trip to this fab leisure centre been planned for months, i'm scared about using a tampon incase i don't insert correctly etc. Sorry this might sound stupid, any advice welcome. Thanks x

There is a leaflet inside the box with step by step instructions on how to use and insert tampons.

I was in the same situation to you recently ... 31 on an all inclusive and never used tampons before. You’ll be fine, follow the instructions in the box. If you can still feel it you haven’t done it right so remove it and try again. Good luck xx

You'll be converted. Trust me!!

Yellow is normal, purple really light, green heavy, orange really heavy.

My standard routine:
Day 1-2 yellow
3 - green
4 yellow
5 purple

I always find putting one foot on the loo/side of bath rtc helps inserting easier. I'd also reccomend tampax pearl as they go in smoother. It takes seconds and is a doddle Smile

Hmm don't like pearl. Tampax compak way easier.

Thank you so much ladies! I'm away to the shops for my first tampon purchase! Grin

I like lillets applicator better than Tampax. I just use ones for light/ moderate flow.

Aridane · 09/06/2018 10:09

I have only ever been able to use tampax applicator tampons. Could not get lilets inserted properly or comfortable. Might be worth trying both.
