Tonsillitis 6 times this year

Hi im just wondering if anyone knows of a good remedy or anything that will help ease the pain and help me sleep at night,im on my 6th bout of tonsillitis this year which floors me each time and the pain is so bad ive children at home so trying to do the day to day things while weak and in so much pain is hard,im on antibiotics atm which i have no faith in so any advice would be much appreciated

That amount of times in a year, you should be pushing to have them out. I had mine out and it was the best thing I ever did,

Have you been checked for glandular fever? Severe throat infection is main symptom. Two of my teenagers had it and one gets tonsillitis more often since too. You need a blood test to check.

Yes ive been tested and all clear,ive also been referred to the ENT but i dont how long that will take and if they will infact take them out, its the pain and not being able to sleep is the worst, i just wish there was a quick fix but i think ill probably hafta go through this every few wks until they i hope take them out :-(

I've had tonsillitis 3 times since march this year and I've been told o have to have it another 3 times before they look at removing?! Surely that's too much. I had it 3 times years ago and was in hospital once. Thing is I keep getting it overnight and quite severely too. Any comments about this would be good. Can't possibly be expected to take time off work constantly
