Noticing my eyes adjusting to different brightnesses

This sounds really silly but for the past month or so I really notice when I walk into a room of different brightness and my eyes adjust. I know eyes are adjusting all the times but it has always felt instant before and now it feels like they are actually taking time to work it out - is this normal? Am I going mad? Obv the answer is get an eye test... but until then... any answers?

(I don't wear glasses btw. Last eye test showed perfect vision. I do have a lazy eye though it is barely noticeable unless I am extremely tired).
