I go through fazes where i have lots of energy and feel well , but terrible lows.... The other day I went to bed late a didn't sleep well , not a lot of energy but I could do house work ect ect ....tried to get to bed earlier , didn't sleep fantastically , all day I've had no energy I didn't do any house work and went over to a family members house with my kids and within 1 hour I felt weak as a kite and slept for over an hour , such a deep sleep I dribbled 😂..
I just about ate lunch after my nap as I was still knackered , went home and I had to lay on the sofa ,husband looked after kids and I ended up falling asleep again another 30 min nap , still weak as a kitten and I could just about take my kids to bed .😩😩.
This weakness and "" laziness "" has been a regular thing for me for around a year, I never feel well

Have you been to your gp about this? So many things this could be, mostly fixable. That’s where I’d be heading in your situation, good luck hope you feel better soon.

JaneJeffer · 06/06/2018 23:42

Do you do too much when you have more energy and wear yourself out? It's a viscous circle.

JaneJeffer · 06/06/2018 23:44

Vicious...

GillynMilly · 07/06/2018 12:00

Ive just found out I have B12 deficiency. I would get to doc and ask for it to be checked. This would explain tiredness for sure

SluttyButty · 07/06/2018 12:21

Its called a flare, of what I don't know without more details and you visiting your Gp and telling them everything that's not normal.

Bunnybutton · 08/06/2018 22:53

I've had numerous blood tests over the years and all have been normal , this has been going on since I was about 16 ( late 20's now ) .
I think it may be chronic fatigue syndrome as I have all the symptoms , I don't want to keel going back as they may think I'm a hypercondriac .....
Impacting my day to day life 😩😩😩😩😩..

I've had blood tests and they have always been fine 😕

@Bunnybutton so were mine until I got copies of them, saw that barely anything was tested and only the same things were tested over and over... And that actually not everything was fine, quite a few things are borderline/low, all contributing to me feeling like shit!

IsJustMe · 09/06/2018 20:04

I accepted comments of “normal” for several years, and I was anything but. There is clearly an issue as it certainly isn’t normal to be sleeping so much. Thyroid? B12? Vitamin D? Iron? You may be only just in range with something, but will then have symptoms. You are legally entitled to copies of your blood tests, it might be worth getting hold of them.

Phoenix76 · 09/06/2018 21:50

Just to put a different slant on it, I had almost identical symptoms, it got to the point where I’d fall asleep in inappropriate situations. My doctor sent me to a sleep clinic. They said my lack of quality night time sleep caused my day time problems. I ended up on sleep medication temporarily and it reset me. Good luck, it’s an awful feeling, that over whelming tiredness and no energy, hope that whatever it is you get sorted soon. Incidentally, any decent gp will not think you’re wasting their time they should try another diagnosis route.

I do this too recently,i have put it down to my low ferritin, as until it got really low it didnt happen, ask for a ferritin test

Bunnybutton · 11/06/2018 00:35

Thank you all , I will get copies of my tests and I will be making an appointment tomorrow

I had similar symptoms (that crushing tiredness, constantly wanting to sleep, even down to the dribbling 😂) along with gastro stuff too. For me it was gluten. It sounds funny now, but I genuinely thought I was just naturally lazy until I found out in my mid twenties 😦

YNK · 11/06/2018 01:04

You want tests for B12, folate, ferritin, fbc and full thyroid panel.

whymewhyme · 11/06/2018 21:53

Go to your GP I was just like you, had bloods I'm low in vit D and iron, I'm on prescribed meds now and feel brilliant best I've left in over a year!
