'Possible Gallbladder issues'

Hello all! I am new to mums net.
I must warn you all that I suffer from health anxiety but am definitely experiencing some real problems.
I used to suffer from terrible gallbladder attacks around four years ago ( they were often spread out over a few months) but always occurred after fatty food intake - I would be vomiting and suffer extreme pain in my abdomen, chest and under my ribs. I was sent for an ultrasound and was told that I had two tiny gallstones that were so small I didn't need them removed and just needed to change my eating habits.
Over the years I have suffered the rare attack (less painful) maybe once a year.
However, Two weeks ago I suffered an attack that lasted a few hours in which I had discomfort in my stomach, sick feeling and was only relieved when I vomited. For the next week I had terrible heart burn, dull stomach pains and shooting pains in my chest after I ate. I also have completely lost my appetite and have a constant feeling of fullness (although I have been able to stomach some food without too much trauma).
I went to a doctor who was useless and in a rush, did a quick examination and didn't find any tenderness so put it down to acid reflux. However the very next day I started to develope tenderness in my rib cage and directly under my right rib cage) especially when pressed down on. I went to another doctor a few days later and had completely different results. She did an examination and claimed that she could could feel 'definite thickening of the area' - I don't know if this means inflamed, swollen or something more sinister Confused she took my temperature which was normal, so ruled out an infection. She then said she would arrange blood tests to check my liver functioning (if it was coping) and an ultrasound so see what the problem was as things eye in her words 'certainly changing'. I asked her if she thought it was my gallbladder that was the issue and she nodded, mentioning a stone possibly getting bigger or blocking a bile duct. It's a couple of days later and im not really even noticing the tenderness anymore it's so mild, but the area still feels 'thicker' or swollen like she claimed which worries me. I'm convinced the area is lumpy but then I feel my entire abdomen and I have lumps all over which I hope is just normal lumpy texturing of tissue. I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar experience as I have no idea how long I'm gonna have to wait to have these tests done Let alone get the results and I'm a real worry wart Blush if anyone has any words of advice I'd be forever greatful Smile

Gallbladder should have come out 4 years ago - it caused you problems then, it was always going to carry on.

I totally agree AnnaMagnani! I was only 18 at the time and new much less about the condition so just trusted the doctors advice!
But I've noticed the tissue on and under my ribs is really lumpy which is worrying me the most - I've noticed some lumps on top of my rib cage that move slightly when squeezed
And underneath the rib cage and around it (as well as the rest of my abdomen) seems really lumpy to me and I don't know if it's just my normal tissue or something else. The tenderness has also come back with a vengeance on my right rib cage, but I'm not sure if that's down to me constantly pressing down on the area
