Lower abdominal pain

I have left side pain in my abdomen already had a cyst taken out but on the right side around a year ago. Been in pain on and off and was managing with painkillers until a few days ago. I am in unbearable pain can’t move or do anything! dr seems to think I should take antibiotics for a week then see what it’s like. Would I be silly just to go to the hospital?

I've had ovarian cysts too. If it's that unbearable it never hurts to get them checked out.

Is it possible that it's burst? Mine did and it was the most pain I'd even been in ( besides labour).

Has the pain worsened since you saw the GP? Did the GP advise you what to do in the event of the pain becoming worse? Severe pain could indicate a potential emergency, if the cyst has twisted and has damaged the blood supply to it (and your ovary). Don’t delay, go to A&E (or whatever appropriate out of hours service is available in your area), if you believe this is pain above and beyond normal.
