Mosquito bite- when to worry?

We’re on holiday and I’ve been bitten several times (never bothered me before but we’re near a lake!) but last night another bite developed and it’s worrying me a little... there’s a bit red bump in the middle and a red circular rash all around it measuring about 2.5 inches. It’s spread by about another 1/2 inch in the last hour.
It’s itching like mad and a little bit swollen but we are due to fly home in two hours so no time to visit a pharmacy or anything and they’ll all be closed when we get home. I’m also due back at work tomorrow at 8.30 so I’m hoping I can get it under control today...
Any advice would be much appreciated- I have bite cream but it is useless and doesn’t help at all!

Anti-histamine as soon as you can. You might be able to get them at the airport. Until then, ice or cold water can help.

(I always get bitten. If you're not used to it, be warned, they can itch for a long, long time - weeks.)

Thanks. I’m not sure how well equipped the airport is but will try to find some. I’ve had loads over the last couple of weeks and they’ve eased off after a day or so but this one is horrible Confused

Antihistamines and try the hot teaspoon trick.
I had a couple like that last year (rash and everything) - they were oozing too, it was gross. But they did die down ok after a few days.
