How do I get rid of bad breath?

u32ng · 04/06/2018 10:00

So I think my breath needs some freshening up! I brush twice a day, am getting better at brushing my tongue and have just started flossing (even tho I find it a complete chore).

What else can I do? Do I need to get some corsodyl to treat any possible gum disease (gum bleeds now and again)?

Any advice appreciated please!

Drink water after eating. Keeping hydrated generally.

Eat carbs

Low/no-carbers get bad breath (is it ketones?)

Deep clean with the hygienist then twice a day brush, then interdental brushes in the bigger gaps, floss tape at night and lastly mouthwash.

This stuff is amazing, and it's completely stopped the awful tonsil stones I used to get. Have you had your tonsils checked? If you can see white lumps on them, it's a tonsil stone and they smell of rotten sulphur Sad

Yes - I was just going to ask about the state of your tonsils. I had horrendously pitted tonsils following repeated tonsillitis when I was younger. Would periodically get terrible breath, then poke/cough up tonsil stones (actually kinda squishy and not hard as name would suggest) and they smelt like the devil's arsehole, then breath would get better for a bit. Had my tonsils out age 16 and breath has been fine since (mostly!)
