Hi, posting on here as the first doctors appointment I can get is Monday 11th June 
since last Tuesday I've had an awful non productive cough. My chest feels full of solid catargh that I can feek in my throat but just cannot cough up. It started with a runny nose and a lot of nose blowing etc and then came the cough which is getting worse. I've been taking Benelin 'mucus cough' which I was advised by a pharmacist should work to loosen the catargh to make it easier to actually cough something up but no improvement. The cough is like a dog barking and sounds really hollow/echoey and it's driving me mad now! No sore throat or anything, I'm just so tired from coughing. Any helpful suggestions? The only way I can see a Dr sooner than next Mon is by calling in sick and ringing the drs from 8am tomorrow to try to get an emergency appointment which I don't really want to have to do.....
