Hi, So I’m just after advice please! I’ve come on my period and my usual period is heavy and lasts for a week and happens irregularly. This time however... Im in a lot of pain! I’ve vomited this morning already 😳 because the pain is actually making me feel sick. I’m getting quite a lot of back pain also which is something I don’t normally get. Me and dh are ttc so I don’t know if there’s a possibility for a very early miscarriage? But I think it’s probably more a period. Im not able to go more than half an hour before changing my pad and I’ve not had any sleep as I’m literally flooded. My Doctors can be a four-six week wait. I’ll be ringing tomorrow morning for one but in the meantime I’m just after advice from anyone who’s being in this situation on if there’s ways I can reduce the pain and flow?

Call 111 someone the other day on here had similar symptoms and after being persuaded to go to hospital had a ruptured tube due to an ectopic pregnancy.

Please phone them.

I would seek further medical advice today like calling 111 re your periods because heaviness and pain is not something that you should put up with. You really do need to see a gynaecologist because such issues can affect ttc.

If your GP surgery has a 4-6 week wait I would change GP practice.

Call 111 ASAP

More than a pad an hour is a bad sign.

Call 111

Thanks for your replies everyone. I’ve rung 111 but and got an appointment today. The pain isn’t as bad but the bleeding has gotten worse if anything 😭

@Getuhda348 How did you get on?

knockknockknock · 05/06/2018 07:28

@Getuhda348 Any news??

Getuhda348 · 05/06/2018 12:24

Hi yes I’m ok thank you 😊 The doctor did a pregnancy test there and it was negative. She give me non hormonal tablets to reduce the bleeding. She said she doesn’t know the reason why so I’ve got enough tablets to get me through a few periods if it happens again. I’m hoping it’s not a monthly thing though as I can’t even leave the house with it. The bleeding has reduced slightly so I’m making it an hour between changes now.

Have you recently come off normal contraception? This happened to me about the 2/3rd months of TTC, I then got pregnant the following month so fingers crossed for you

Getuhda348 · 05/06/2018 14:01

No I’ve not being on contraception in years , but only being trying for a few months. Contraception makes me bleed heavily on everything too. I have no luck 🙈 thank you!
