ds - just turned 2- has a rash on torso, face, arms, neck and bottom

fades on pressure

temp of 39 degrees and is a bit grotty/out of sorts

likely to be viral do you think?

what would the rash look like if it were chicken pox/measles?

blisters for chicken pox like spots

rash like, is he having an allergic reaction?

personally if temp gets any higher or doesnt go down with calpol I would get him checked out today

Tutter · 20/05/2007 14:24

no, don't think allergic reaction as rash started (albeit v faint) yesterday

will give calpol

thanks

Tutter · 20/05/2007 14:31

Measles

sniff · 20/05/2007 14:47

ahh so more likely chicken pox or measles then

I think you have to have it cheked by a DR f you suspect a contagious desease(sp) so its in their records hat they have had it but I am not 100%

I hope he feels better soon

Tutter · 20/05/2007 14:55

thanks both

have spoken to nhs direct - as i thought they suspect "non-specific viral" rash

will keep an eye on rash and temp...
