Two week referral itchy mole

I've just been to see the GP and he's put me on a two week referral for a mole that is itchy and has grown. I'm aware it could be melanoma as I got really badly burnt there when I was younger ( no judging I was doing a sponsored walk).

I'm wondering if anyone had similar symptoms and it wasn't cancer.

Yes, I had a suspicious one, he had a halo like appearance around it and was quite dark, I was fast tracked, it was removed and was found to be fine.
