How much pain is a broken bone in foot?

We were on holiday last week. In the night ds was crying and i got up in the dark to run to his room and managed to slam my bare foot into a metal doorstop welded into the ground. It was excruciatingly painful at the time and I had to sit down and deep breath for a while.

The next day I had no pain and I’d forgotten I’d even done it and that continued for 48 hours but today I’ve started having excruciating stabbing pains in the bones around my two littlest toes on that foot which took the brunt of the force. Right along the bones themselves.

Do you think I have broken something or would I have been in more pain over the last few days if I had?

Very hard to say, I've broken little toes before, it's pretty painful at the time, they usually swell up pretty impressively and bruise a lot.

Breaks aren't always that painful, I broke my little finger in three places, one break right through the joint, which all needed pinning back together. But I didn't get it checked for 48 hours and then only because my housemate made me, as I insisted it couldn't be broken as it didn't really hurt and I could move it a bit.

Anyhoo, they wouldn't do much

Ooops
Much for your toes now several days have passed even if they are broken. Try to rest you foot a bit and wear comfy things on your feet, would be my advice. (I have no medical training, just seem to break small bones regularly...).

Ah I've broken my foot three times now 🙈. One thing that is a constant is bruising. It will always bruise underneath (for me).

The pain each time really hasn't been too bad... The second time I broke it I continued working on it (on my feet all day teaching).

Only way to know for sure is an X-ray so get thee to minor injuries/whatever. Although the third time I broke it I was refused an X-ray at a&e as I "wasn't in much pain" 🙄🙄 ended up going back five days later still hobbling and they eventually x rayed it for me then.

Ah yes, if it's your toes they won't do anything about that apart from strap them I believe
