I wemt to the drs this morning & have been referred for a camera to go up my bum Blush to check where the bleeding is coming from.

The thing is im getting myself in such a state over this and thinking worst case scenario. Ive attached a photo of what my poop looked like this morning!

The blood is always bright red & the dr said today that there is a couple of small hemorrhoids & no tear that she can see! Whereas years ago the dr seen a tear and gave me a cream! Its been happening on and off now for a good few years and comes and goes !

Does anyone have any advice or been through similar? Also when pooping its agony as if im pooping glass! Ouch!!!

I have a hoto but i cant find how to upload it!

Thankyou

Please don't add a picture, we don't need one
It's entirely appropriate for the gp to refer you for further investigation with those symptoms.
The cream should help, and plenty of fruit and veg to avoid straining. Hope it settles soon

It does sound like a fissure, they are not always visible. I too was referred for flexible sigmoidoscopy because of fissure issues and bleeding. It’s sensible to check.

pls go to the doctor, it's not a good sign for sure

The OP has already been to the doctor and been referred for tests. It obviously isn't ideal to be bleeding, but sounds like there's most likely an innocent cause. Well done for getting it checked OP and good luck with your tests Flowers

(And please never post photos! Your description is perfectly adequate.)

As others have said, yes its good that the Doc is instigating the right investigations but the chances are its just a case of The Farmers or a fissure. Adjust your diet accordingly, up your water intake and assume a more proactive posture when on the loo !
