DS2 is 4 and has about 8-10 red raised bumps on his body, any ideas?

He has already had chicken pox. The bumps are a little bit itchy and about the size of a 5p piece. He has 4 near his neck, 4 on his torso, and one in his groin. They don't look like hives.

No fever and he is eating Ok.

Anyone else's child had this?

Insect bites?

juuule · 19/05/2007 18:49

And it is possible to get chicken pox more than once.

He has 2 more today on his thigh. They do look a bit like insect bites but we don't have any pets and he was wearing trousers today. DS1 is fine. This is weird!

? ringworm
have you googgled? i found a good site recently ... couldnt tell you what it was though

NotQuiteCockney · 20/05/2007 21:32

Ringworm looks like rings, doesn't it?

Does anyone else in the family have similar bumps?

Any chance they're bedbug bites?

NotQuiteCockney · 20/05/2007 21:33

Pics of bedbugs here

foxinsocks · 20/05/2007 21:34

scabies?

canadianmum · 21/05/2007 19:37

I guess they could be bedbugs but his bed is very clean. I have now washed all of his cuddly toys, duvet, pillow and bedding AGAIN.

We do have a very clean house .

It doesn't look like ringworm or scabies.

He has a couple more on his arm today, not sure whether to see GP or not as he is perfectly well otherwise.
