Hi jetjets,

www.endo.org.uk is the website of Endometriosis UK which is a good site for all women suffering with endometriosis.

Did you have a follow up appointment with the surgeon after you had recovered from the laparotomy?. He should have explained exactly what was found along with future implications for fertility.

I would say that generally speaking fertility does decline with age; it may be as well that you may need further surgery in order to conceive.

Endometriosis in my case was diagnosed in a similar manner to Christie's but before I became a parent. The pain I had from it also took my breath away - excrutiating was the word.

Being on the pill can keep it in abeyance but I find that I cannot use this for more than two months at a time due to breakthrough bleeding.
