Everything hurts!

I'm not sure if this is something worth troubling the doctor for or who to speak to really. I've been waking up recently with a really painful right forearm. I thought it was from using the mouse at work so moved my desk around and it's improved lots but not completely better.
This morning I've woken up and everything hurts! My fingers are painful & swollen so I can't get my ring off, my wrists, ankles, knees all hurt, even my jaw! I'd done a bit of gardening and been to the gym yesterday but nothing out of the ordinary for me.
Ibuprofen has taken the edge off but I'm feeling twice my age (I'm 47 if that's relevant). Any suggestions what this might be or who I should speak to for help?

You are young for arthritis but could be. Also menopause makes pain worse (and everything else!). The cold weather makes me sore (and its not sunny here though it seems to be everywhere else) - much better in the sun. That's all I can think of sorry! I'd start with the GP and see if he refers you anywhere.

Definitely ask the doctor.

Osteoarthritis is associated with ageing, but inflammatory arthritis can strike at any age.

I opened this post because this is what I say some mornings, I presumed it's a peri menopause symptom as it's worse around and after ovulation for some reason. I've been taking fish oil to see if it improves.

Sounds like inflammatory arthritis. You describe exactly how I feel when it flares up.
