Ive been on Laxido for 4 weeks (and rectogesic) to help mend a chronic anal fissure. It seems much improved. However, I'm coming to the last week of Laxido and wonder...

Should i use half a laxido a day instead a whole sachet for two weeks rather than one to come off it more slowly and

What foods should I be eating and how much water a day to ensure I keep softer stools when the laxido stops

Ta! Its been so.good to get rid of the fissure pain, I don't want it back!

Fellow fissure sufferer here! My GP told me to eat dates, figs and prunes rather than any kind of laxative. I eat about 4 semi dry gigs and about 10 prunes a day along with other fruit and veg. I drink about 8 glasses of water a day plus tea.

Perhaps do half sachet plus extra veg and fruit.

Thanks.
I just dont want the pain back! Its so much better now but not completely gone so i cant afford to mess. I dont want to be on stool softeners too long though, so I must find an alternative. I love dates so will try those.

I've been on it for years so you can keep taking it. Mere fruit is not enough for me sadly.
