Any tips for getting rid of a stye more quickly?

I've got a stye starting on my lower eyelid..last time I had one (not long ago) it was huge, painful and hung around for ages..I'm off on holiday in 4 days so I would like to accelerate getting rid of it if that's possible. Thanks for your help :)

When we were young in lreland we put a cold tea bag on it. It worked. I'm sure someone will bee along with a more scientific cure but its worth a try..
