This is my nose. It has been a version of this for nearly two years now - sometimes not as red and other times worse. I had impetigo on my nose for the first and last time just over three years ago and it cleared up completely within a few days of treatment. A few months later, I saw some red wet looking spots so treated it as though it was impetigo again (although it didn't look or behave the same way as the diagnosed impetigo had - no overnight blistering/tingling etc) but it didn't help. I say my GP who just said it didn't look like anything to worry about, and since then I've been miserably doing my best to cover up red bumps, splodges and spots. I don't really want to wear thick cover up every day and I want to try and fix it but don't know what it is.

I have tried fucidin and a mild steroid with no success. Any ideas?

Nose rosacea - I used to get it too. Mild antibiotic cream every day for about three years eventually cured it. Go back to GP.Smile

Yes rosacea. Dr will prob give you antibiotic cream but only oral antibiotics clears up mine. There's other treatment too. Trial and error
