Odd cycle

My periods have always been regular and ttc for three years it's made it easy to track and keep my month organised. However this month it's taken an odd turn.

Firstly my period came early by a couple of days and instead of 7 days it lasted 2. Worst of all though was the black colour of it and now the infrequent brown discharge. Should I worry? Do I have something wrong? I feel sick as a dog so I'm worried I might have an infection or something.

Dark blood means old blood thats taken longer to come out. Have you done a pregnancy test? Also with no other symptoms a one off cycle could just be weird. Unless its repeated i wouldnt worry.

I didn't think it was worth a test as I don't have sore boobs like my first pregnancy and I did get a period it was just black! I have a ton of ewcm today which is unusual too but my ovulation test came back low so that would have shown up if I was pregnant

Sorry op i was at work. You should do a test maybe just in case. Are you stressed or run down? That effects my periods wildly. As a one off dont worry about it.

I'm no more stressed or run down than normal. If anything I'm less stressed because I've started to enjoy myself more recently and have the occasional friend over or night out. Sort of like the old me but wiser and with a little guy that follows me round till 8pm

Thank you for your help. It's hopefully just me coming down with something and a one off. I guess we should crack on with another try and another month. Then hopefully I'll have a reason to feel this grotty
