Gastric help please?!?

So long story-please hold out!
Since last sept I've been unable to eat any amount of food in one sitting. Went on for a while until people started to notice how thin I'd gone. Went to drs and I'd gone from 10stone to 8st.
Full bloods came back normal, tested positive for helicobacter pylori. Had first lot of eradication drugs-no change.
Referred to gastroenterologist.
Had endoscopy they found lots of inflammation, second lot of eradication drugs, made me really sick, completed course. Told I had chronic gastritis.
So I'm now at the point where I still can't eat, have pain after eating anything bigger than a bag of crisp, can't drink whilst eating or I throw up.
Has anyone had anything similar or have it now?
How the hell do you make it better?
Getting so down about how I look and keep freaking myself out because it's linked to stomach cancer.
I've literally been told nothing!
Please help!!!

Sorry I can't help but didn't want to read and run. Hopefully someone helpful will be along soon. Sorry to hear you are having such an awful time of it. Can you stomach a milky drink or a protein drink? You need to keep your strength up if you are not eating. Good luck Flowers

Did they do biopsies during the endo?

plannedshock · 24/05/2018 22:14

Yes, they took 9 biopsies, came back as chronic gastritis

We're you given a course of lanzaprazole? The treatment should have resolved the symptoms

stargaze2 · 26/05/2018 08:27

I'm not sure if this is any help but I had similar symptoms to you and had all the test which showed up gastritis. But thankfully with continuous pushing I have now been diagnosed with gastroparasis which is where the stomach either doesn't empty or it is slower at emptying.

When you DO eat what type of food do you eat? Maybe it's an idea to look at your diet, The hay diet is good, for gut problems, which is basically not mixing proteins with carbs at the same meal. So no egg sandwiches, but egg salad is ok, . Eating slowly, really chewing your food.

Go carefully on normal tea and coffee esp. fizzy drinks if you survive on them! (have mint teas and or chicory coffee subs.) Dairy and wheat are sometimes harmful too.

Did they give you omeprazole? This should help with symptoms and protect your stomach lining from the stomach acid. Symptoms should improve after 2 or 3 weeks on them.
