Advice for delaying a period

user1359 · 18/05/2018 06:46

Is it better to delay the period before the one you need delayed iykwim. I've never taken norethisterone before but taking it a month early and deal with the side effects rather than deal with them on holiday?

Also, my cycles range from 22-27 days so would I start on day 19?

Also, when you stop taking it and start bleeding is that cd1 of a new cycle or does it mess you up?

I normally start bleeding 3 days after taking it, and that becomes day 1 of the new cycle

I take it 2 weeks on/2weeks off for a medical condition. I've never had any side effects. Just plan when you want to be period free and work around it. I usually get a bleed 3-4 days after last day on tablets and that's the start of the new cycle.

My period has arrived 4 days early this month so I hope the knock on effect will mean I should avoid the holiday next month. Here's hoping.
