Hi everyone,
I've had recurrent nosebleeds out of one nostril for about 18 months (started out of nowhere). I've seen an ENT consultant who has performed several in-office cauterisations with silver nitrate (the matchstick) but he said if the last one doesn't work, he was going to try electrocautery under general anaesthetic!
I was just wondering if anyone, or anyone's child, had had the electrocautery done and if it actually worked?
I'm sick of getting the bleeds, even though they are only minor, but equally scared of an operation!. I'm using Vaseline and a saline gel inside the nose frequently in the day but it doesn't seem to be helping. Not on any blood-thinners.
