Help! 8 year old with Complex regional pain disorder

My DD8 hurt her wrist in Oct last year. They initially thought it was broken but then decided it was ligament damage. The cast didn't help as she could still move it and was in lots of pain so they put a cast on her whole arm. She had that on for a month and then had it removed. She was not much better and they then diagnosed complex regional pain disorder. She had intense physio and it seemed to get better. About 5 weeks ago she slipped on a chair and was back to square one. As a result of the pain disorder they didn't recast it and she has been left to hopefully have it heal up. It hasn't been getting better and today I picked her up from school in agony. She can't use her fingers or move her arm. She can't even straighten her arm enough to put her support on it. I have given paracetamol and ibuprofen and we have iced it. What else can I do? I can't see the point of taking her to a and e because we went when she redid it and they couldn't do anything. Does anyone have any experience of it and have any ideas how to ease the pain (She is going in to hospital next week for an MRI under GA so they can get a good look at it to make sure there isn't anything more to it). Help!!

Who has made the diagnosis of CRPS? Has she been referred to a pain clinic? If not, perhaps that's something to ask for? Why does she need the MRI under GA?

She was diagnosed by a consultant after the pain didn't go when the cast was removed (and she had other symptoms like one wrist was warmer than the other, corned beef appearance on her skin). She hasn't been to a pain clinic but I took her back to the gp today and he just said to give more ibuprofen (15mls a time instead of 10). She needs to be out for the MRI because they tried to do one but she couldn't cope with it and they need to look at her left ankle at the same time

A friend of my DS broke his arm on a trampoline. After the cast was removed he was still in pain. Severe pain. The mum was told, it was normal, the boy was lazy, should do more physic and so on. Fed up, she went to another city to a big hospital. He actually had 2 fractures , only one had been treated, the other displaced bone was going into necrosis. Major operation to save the arm, big cage thing for a year, turning pins for bone growth and so on.

MRI is certainly going to show what is wrong.
