Dd2 (13 months) woke in the night (1am), was very short of breeth and seemed to be finding it hard to breath. Eventualy she calmed down and an hour latter was back to normal. This morning she was very tierd but now seems fine.

This is the 2nd time this has happened this week last night being worse (i thought i was going to have to call 999)

I'm taking her to see the GP at 5pm.

Is it possible that she has Asthma?

Yes it's possible. Does she cough a lot at night as that's a sign of asthma too.

Personally I'd probably think it was asthma but I'm sure the gp will be able to help more later on. Hope she's ok.

How did you get on at the doctors?

Marne · 18/05/2007 12:11

The doctor was'nt much help, he listened to her cheast (which was ok) but this was the doctor who gave her antibiotics for a virus a few months ago which resaulted in a trip to A&E. If it happens again i have to take her back to see him, i think he just thought i was over reacting and have nothing to worry about.
