Stye that refuses to go

I removed a skin tag from under my eye over Easter. I ended up with an eye infection - conjunctivitis and a stye on the rim of my upper eye lid.

I had ointment and the conjunctivitis cleared up but the stye is still there. It's not causing me any problems at all now but looks red.

How can I get rid of it.

I've swapped one unsightly thing on my face for another Angry

This will sound mad, but rub it with something gold. Traditionally it should be a wedding ring, but any gold would work, obviously. I tried it thinking it couldn’t do any harm and the stye went very quickly.

Did it work OP?

Crazy sounding adviceSmile but maybe it helps?

Golden eye ointment! (It has gold in it) hard to get hold if in a chemist though as it's actually for conjunctivitis I think but my nanna used to swear by it for styes and it's worked every time for me. One of those good old fashioned remedies...

I've actually done both - rubbed a gold ring on it and put ointment on it, neither of which has worked.

It's as though it needs to be popped Hmm
