Have your periods changed with time?

I'm in my early 30s, not on any birth control, and my periods seem to be getting lighter and thinner in consistency. When I think back, there's quite a big difference compared to my teens and early 20s. I just wondered if anyone else has experienced something similar?

Yes. Mine used to be so heavy and painful, I would pass out, or be bed bound for days at best. I came off birth control in Dec 2016 and my periods are much shorter and lighter and my fertility doctor said that a number of factors affect periods such as previous pregnancy, weight etc but that age was the biggest factor and most women find that their periods change as they get older and it’s onjy a concern if they get heavier than normal
